Electronics project

As part of our industrial engineering studies at the Haute Ecole Leuven in Hainaut, we were asked to realize a project using sensors allowing a Raspberry Pi to use this data to perform actions.

We chose to make a zero waste intelligent bin!

It must be able to open itself when approaching a waste.

LEDs on the front panel indicate the filling level of the bin.

Finally, the "raspbery pi" collects daily data on the filling rate of the trash and sends them on the platform to compare the different consumption of users.

The goal is to really make the user aware of its impact on the environment in order to improve its waste consumption objectives and aim towards zero waste.
